Dr. John Yang, Ph.D.

Dr. John Yang is an Acupuncturist and Registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is the current President of the Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Colleges of Canada (ftcmcc.org) and the former President at the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture of British Columbia (ATCMA, formally the QATCMA).

Dr. Yang has over 30 years of experience using acupuncture & herbs to treat patients with chronic pain, emotional disorders, hormonal imbalances, infertility, gynecological issues, and more. His approach to care includes taking time to understand the patient’s medical background history and current needs.

Dr. Yang is a TCM educator. From 2003 - 2014, he was the Dean and Clinic Director at the PCU College of Holistic Medicine. Presently, Dr. Yang is the TCM Program Chair at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. (kpu.ca/health/acupuncture/faculty/john-yang) As an expert in the field, Dr. Yang has given many national and international presentations and lectures on TCM.

Dr. Yang graduated from Hainan University Medical School in Haikou, China, received his TCM training at Hainan Provincial Hospital of TCM, and earned his PhD from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.

    Virginia Ding

    REGISTERED TCM PRACTITIONER (RTCMP)

    Virginia Ding is a Registered TCM Practitioner (RTCMP) who graduated from the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Traditional Chinese Medicine Program (majoring in acupuncture). She proudly serves as the administration coordinator of the Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Colleges of Canada, she is also a member of ATCMA (British Columbia Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Practitioners). Prior, Virginia was a Yoga instructor and a TTT (Train the trainer) of the National Guild of Hypnotists. As an acupuncture practitioner, she firmly believes that an approach to health must take into account one's body, psychology, relationship, nature, and the universe. The more Virginia discovers acupuncture, the more she discovers the art of combining needles, herbs, breath and mediation. She believes in letting every organ in the human body work together, by guiding Qi smoothly throughout the hundreds of acupoints and connecting them with acupuncture as pathways. Her practice focuses on the treatment of chronic pain, sleeping problems, emotional issues, digestive disorders, PMS, and more.

    Moses is currently a Registered Acupuncturist with CTCMA and also a member of ATCMA. He graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Traditional Chinese Medicine-Acupuncture program. As a licensed acupuncturist, Moses believes in guiding a natural healing process within the body to treat the root of the problem. He combines various TCM treatment modalities in his practice to assist his clients to achieve their ultimate health goals. His practice focuses on treatment of pain, depression, insomnia, digestive disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome and post car accident symptoms.

  • Victor Han

    CHINESE STYLE MASSAGE SPECIALIST (Tuina-Anmo 推拿按摩师)

    Victor Han graduated from Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. He has experience combining Traditional Chinese Medicine theory of meridians with practical experience to form a unique acupressure methodology, which can effectively relieve chronic strain, sprain, and muscle strain. Victor also specializes in using the meridian acupuncture points to adjust Yin and Yang of the body, as well as the function of blood and viscera. His treatment style can deeply relax muscles and relieve fatigue.

    He specializes in using various acupressure techniques to effectively alleviate and reduce the following pain symptoms:

    1. Head, neck, back pain, upper limb weakness, and finger numbness.
    2. Shoulder pain (frozen shoulders).
    3. Back pain caused by back muscle strain and soft tissue damage.
    4. Lower back and upper leg pain caused by lumbar muscle strain.
    5. Leg pain caused by sciatic nerve and gluteal nerve damage.
    6. Neck muscle stiffness and pain caused by prolonged straining, sleeping in an uncomfortable position or stress.

  • Charles (Yechao) Hu

    REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

    Yechao (Charles) Hu has been in the massage industry for more than four years. He completed his RMT studies in Vancouver and Toronto and has received RMT licenses in both BC and Ontario. He is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of BC (CMTBC) and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

    Charles is a good listener and a kind, considerate person who enjoys assisting people to improve their health and well-being. Assessment is his favourite RMT subject, and he is skilled at evaluating a patient’s condition and determining the treatment needed. He is skilled at a variety of different techniques depending on the needs of the client, such as deep tissue massage and Swedish massage. He can do myo-fascial techniques which can release adhesions and tension in the body.

    Charles was born in China and has always liked to travel. He has lived in Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand for more than one year in each place. In addition, he has been to Malaysia, South Korea, and Hong Kong. He speaks English and Mandarin and is learning Cantonese. In his free time, he enjoys cooking very much and likes both Western and Asian cuisine. He has tried skiing, bungee jumping, and parachute jumping. He would like to do more outdoor sports in the future.
